About the artist
Alethea Seignobosc studied Fine Art at U.W.E in Bristol. During her time at art college, it became apparent that drawing held the most significance to her.
Portraiture began when the artist was commissioned to draw five spaniels. Having been raised surrounded by dogs, she thought it would be an enjoyable opportunity to exercise her drawing and quickly realised the challenge and rewards of capturing the essence of a personality.

After graduating, Alethea lived in Scotland for seven years before settling in the South East of France where she continues to develope her practice in her studio situated in the pituresque village of Tourrettes. Whilst in France she has faced many challenges that continue to influence, inspire and aid her work.
